Do you have a little craft fanatic at home who loves to paint, glue, and is full of cheer? Then this DIY is perfect!
Crafty Line from the fantastic craft account @congebricole once again came up with a super fun activity: making an adorable Teddy Tomato pouch from paper plates together with our buddy Teddy.
Simple, colorful, and ideal for storing small treasures. Think marbles, crayons, or perhaps... cherry tomatoes!

What do you need?
- 2 paper plates

- Red paint
- Scissors
- Hole punch or pricking tool
- String or ribbon (for the handle)
- Marker or googly eyes
- Glue
- Green paper (for a tomato crown)
All materials can also be found on the Congé Bricolé webshop.
How to make the bag
1. PAINTING

Take two paper plates. These will form the front and back of your tomato. Paint both plates red and let them dry thoroughly.
2. CUTTING

Cut off the top of one plate to create a wide arch (as if you've taken a small bite out of it). This will be the opening of your bag.
3. DECORATING
Time to bring Teddy to life!

Decorate the cut plate with a face. Stick on googly eyes (heart-shaped ones are extra cute) and draw a cheerful smile. Cut a crown (the tomato leaf) out of green paper and glue it to the top.
4. MAKING HOLES

Then glue the plates together. Make two holes on both sides with a hole punch or pricking tool. Thread a string or ribbon through the holes and tie the ends securely: this will be the handle of your bag.
Done!
Your own Teddy Tomato pouch is now finished! Perfect for small treasures, a drawing moment on the go, or as a cheerful accessory when reading “You are my to-mate-o”.
Get the craft table ready, put on a red apron, and... get crafting with Teddy!
