HÖNGRY stands for more fun with fruit and vegetables.

Founders Bieke and Mathieu noticed that fruit and vegetables are often a 'chore' at the dinner table. It quickly becomes a struggle that nobody enjoys. But what if the love for broccoli, banana, or carrot starts much earlier than at the dinner table? And at a time when there are no expectations, like a cozy story time, for example?

So, they turned bananas into jesters and broccoli into a rebellious musician. They told stories about fruits and vegetables, but full of imagination. Suddenly, they had their children's attention. The kids found it hilarious and...were more willing to try things at the dinner table.

At HÖNGRY, we believe that fruit and vegetables are so much more than 'just' food.

Through language and play, full of imagination, adventure, and relatable themes, we help everyone discover that fruits and vegetables are a wonder, a source of growth, imagination, and fun.

    By connecting fruits and vegetables with familiar stories close to a child's world, they become less 'unknown' or 'scary'. This recognition helps create more openness to tasting at the dinner table.
  • Together

    We consciously choose picture books and games. These are discovered together with the child. Through that pleasant moment of connection, fruit and vegetables are experienced in an atmosphere of fun.

  • Repetition

    Repetition is crucial for a positive connection with fruits and vegetables. Books & games can be used several times a week as they go beyond mealtime.
