In Wetteren, on Florimond Leirensstraat, you'll find a store that lives up to its name: Natuurlijk Leuk (Naturally Fun). What started as a webshop grew into a physical store full of sensory, sustainable, open-ended, and educational toys.

And in September 2025, founder Stéphanie took the plunge: after 12 years as a childcare provider, she fully committed to following her heart and pursuing Natuurlijkleuk, including a physical store. A decision brimming with passion and vision. 

Customer is king

At Natuurlijkleuk, everything revolves around a carefully selected range. No overflowing shelves, but conscious choices that align with their vision of play and development.

"We are very customer-focused and prioritize service and customer satisfaction above all else," Stéphanie explains. Through this targeted approach, they have built a loyal customer base of childcare providers, teachers, therapists, parents, and grandparents. People who consciously choose toys and books with substance. 

The very first books in the assortment

How did it all begin? In her search for books that aligned with her vision, Stéphanie quickly found HÖNGRY. The combination of recognizable themes, colorful illustrations, and a shared view on play and development immediately felt right.

"HÖNGRY were the very first books we sold. In our search, we actually found you very quickly because the books align so well with our vision. Moreover, the beautiful illustrations and the fact that you are almost neighbors immediately completed the match for us."

Why HÖNGRY fits so well with Natuurlijkleuk

What Stéphanie particularly likes about the books? The strong message in each story and the recognizable themes for children and parents. The characters immediately appeal to the imagination and reappear repeatedly, giving children the feeling that they truly get to know the fruity friends.

"The vegetables and fruits each have their own super fun names and reappear in every story. Children love it because they feel like they really know the vegetables and fruits!"

The interactive board books for the little ones are also very popular. Colors, counting, and emotions are introduced playfully. The picture books grow nicely with preschoolers and older children, while the illustrations also immediately appeal to younger readers.

Favorite? Brock ’n Roll show!

Although they are fans of all books, there is one absolute favorite: "The most fun one is definitely De Brock-’n-Roll show! In this book, children can determine how the story unfolds and ends through multiple choice questions. They can also be a bit mischievous and choose the less good path!"

A book where children can experiment with choices and consequences… that, of course, fits perfectly with Natuurlijkleuk’s educational vision.

"GINAAAAAA!"

One of the most beautiful moments in the store is the reactions of children when they discover the HÖNGRY books.

"It’s always fantastic when children enter the store, look towards our bookshelf, and enthusiastically shout "GINAAAAAAA" or another character."

This remains special: children truly feel connected to the fruity friends from the stories. And we are at least as proud that HÖNGRY books can be found at Natuurlijkleuk among all those carefully selected books and toys.
